The numeric keypad is a group of numeric keys grouped together on a section of the keyboard. These keys make it a lot easier for one to input numbers and can also be used directly with the Calculator (calc.exe).
This seems to be all people know about this amazing group of buttons. But that’s not all, the Num lock pad has a hidden feature that allows you to insert smillies and other symbols by combining any of the numeric keys with the left Alt key.

Alt + 1 = ☺
Alt + 2 = ☻
Alt + 3 = ♥
Alt + 4 = ♦
Alt + 5 = ♣
Alt + 6 = ♠
Alt + 7 = •
Alt + 8 = ◘
Alt + 9 = ○
Alt + 10 = ◙
Alt + 11 = ♂
Alt + 12 = ♀
Alt + 13 = ♪
Alt + 15 = ☼
Alt + 16 = ►
Alt + 17 = ◄
Alt + 18 = ↕
Alt + 19 = ‼
Alt + 20 = ¶
