How to create a keyboard shortcut for opening a program

This trick I'm about to show you allows you to open any program of your choice without you going to click on a desktop icon, you can just press Ctrl + Alt + T, for example to open Firefox  you can perform this trick even while working on another program. but to do this, you need to create a shortcut key for opening the program. here is how to create the short cut key;

  1. Go to Desktop to locate the shortcut to the program for which you want to create a keyboard shortcut, lets say Firefox.
    If there is no shortcut for the program, the go to the folder where the program is installed and right click on the program click Send to> Desktop. Then go to the desktop icon of the program and continue step2.
  2. Right-click the shortcut, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Shortcut Properties dialog box, click on Shortcut tab, and then click the Shortcut key box.
  4. On your keyboard, press the key you want to combine with CTRL+ALT (you instantly see something like CTRL+ALT + T), and then click OK .you may be prompted for an administrator password or confirmation,  just type-in the password and that's all.
    Now you can use this keyboard shortcut to open the program when you're using the desktop. The shortcut will also work while using some programs, though it might not work with some programs that have their own keyboard shortcuts.
    Keys like ESC, ENTER, TAB, SPACEBAR, PRINT SCREEN, SHIFT, or BACKSPACE cannot be used.
    If you enjoyed this trick, be the first to share it with your friends and let them see you as a guru.
    Stay tuned for more...
